What we found

Ignite Visibility is a full-service digital marketing agency based in San Diego, with offices in Irvine, New York, and Orlando. John Lincoln and Krishnan Coughran founded it in 2013. Coughran is CEO. Lincoln led as CEO for 13 years and became Executive Chairman in January 2026. Ignite partnered with Mountaingate Capital in February 2023 and then bought Integrated Digital Strategies, Outliant, Rallio, Socius Marketing, and EverConnect. Its About page claims more than 700 staff, its homepage says more than 340, and LinkedIn shows 201 to 500. It reports more than 2,500 brands served and about $100 million in yearly ad spend.

Ignite publishes about 50 case studies as PDFs, and nearly all describe the client by type instead of name. Many carry time frames, such as a 33% drop in cost per lead in 14 days for a national home services franchise. Orangetheory Fitness is the clearest named example: a move of more than 1,500 studio sites to one platform and 25% more traffic, with no dates given. Its 2025 OMMA Award entry reports a 458% rise in Google AI Overview visibility and 20% more web leads across 19 home services brands. That client is not named. All of these figures are self-reported. Outside, Ignite holds 175 Clutch reviews averaging 4.8.

Ignite runs accounts through account managers. Its homepage cites a low client-to-account-manager ratio, a dedicated help desk, and standing calls. The About page promises one accountable team, monthly and quarterly strategy reports, and same-day answers in Slack. Clients get access to Rallio AI, the company's platform for social posting, reviews, local leads, and revenue tracking. The CEO's bio lists an international outsourced division among the departments he helped launch. Ignite publishes no onboarding timeline, and the site does not say how senior the people doing daily work are.

Ignite sells a defined AI SEO service that combines SEO with answer engine and generative engine work. The method covers AI crawler access, structured data, an llms.txt file, answer-first pages, comparison pages, and accurate brand facts on review sites and Wikipedia. It tracks AI share of voice across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews and reports AI-referred visits as a separate channel. Its case studies publish measured results. An automotive franchise's AI mention rate rose from 24.7% to 30.9%, and its citation rate rose from 12.4% to 15.4%. Ignite does not name these clients.

The main gaps are client names and clarity on staffing. Few case studies name the client, so a buyer cannot check most results. Staff counts differ across Ignite's own pages and LinkedIn. Ignite publishes no prices. Clutch lists a $1,000 minimum project and rates of $100 to $149 an hour. Before signing, ask for named references in your industry and the names of the people who will do the daily work. Ask whether any of that work goes to the outsourced division, and which AI visibility metrics you will see each month.

Score breakdown

How Ignite Visibility scores, check by check

Each criterion is scored from 0 to 10 against the bands in our methodology. The weight shows how much it counts toward the overall score.

  1. Proof of results

    35% of the score 6 /10

Ignite publishes about 50 numeric case studies, but nearly all are anonymous and Orangetheory is the only clearly named client. Its 175 Clutch reviews averaging 4.8 and a 2025 OMMA Award tied to a reported result add outside support.

  2. Senior attention and speed

    25% of the score 4 /10

A staff of several hundred works through account managers with no published onboarding timeline, and the CEO's bio lists an international outsourced division.

  3. AI search readiness

    20% of the score 8 /10

A defined AI SEO service tracks AI share of voice across four AI platforms, and case studies publish measured gains in AI mentions and citations. The clients behind those results are not named.

  4. Accountability and identity

    20% of the score 9 /10

Named founders and executives, an active California LLC at a published San Diego address, 175 Clutch reviews, and industry awards. Our searches found no lawsuits or regulator actions.

Overall 6 × 35% + 4 × 25% + 8 × 20% + 9 × 20% = 6.5 out of 10
